The town of Ross is known for its affluence, palatial homes, Ross Elementary School and Branson High School.  While it's true that this small town is home to many of Marin's most financially successful families, it's also true that this is a tight community of parents raising their children amongst the old growth trees, lakes and numerous, hiking, running and biking trails.  At the center of town lies the Ross Post Office where the residents pick up their mail, the corner butcher shop and several service boutiques that serve the local homeowners.  The climate is warm to hot during the summer, which is offset and complemented with winter rains, which fill the lakes and contribute to the natural beauty.  When driving or riding a bike through town, it's easy to understand why those who can afford to live here, do.
